Welcome to Prostruct Solar. We’ve embarked on a mission to bring clean, affordable solar power to the people. We are Arizona’s newest leader in high-impact solar energy solutions, and we are here to change the way you think about energy. Solar just makes sense, and we can’t wait to tell you why….
Solar is Smart Money
Solar energy is transforming the way people spend on power. This ingenious technology has come a long way in recent years and is no longer out of reach because of cost. Thanks to the increasing demand, solar units have become more affordable, while innovative financing and more financial partners have significantly driven down the price of household systems—the cost of a solar system fell 45 percent in the US between 2010-2014. Plus, a federal solar tax credit takes 26 percent off the purchase price, while additional local tax credits and rebates bring the costs down even further.
So why keep throwing money at rising utility bills when you can have an investment that lowers your costs and increases your home’s value—all while helping the environment?
With solar, you can start saving from day one. Instead of spending thousands each year on ever-increasing energy bills, homes and businesses powered by solar enjoy long-term savings and the comfort of a fixed rate for their energy consumption.
A well-placed five-kilowatt solar system can generate the equivalent of two-thirds to three-quarters of a typical household’s electricity use – enough to power the home of a family of five at net-zero energy consumption. For example, on pleasant spring days, most homes will generate more energy than they consume, and then sell that excess to the utility company. On hot summer days, when the air conditioning is running, a household can draw from the grid, and pay for it with the credits accumulated or buy it at a more competitive rate.
Beyond savings, a solar system is actually an investment—multiple studies have found that homes equipped with solar energy systems have higher property values and sell more quickly than non-solar homes. Researchers have found that the average home’s sales value increases by $5,911 per installed kilowatt. Thus, a home with a 3.1-kilowatt system could raise that home’s value by nearly $18,000—nothing to scoff at.
Energy for the Next Generation
Of course, solar energy systems deliver more than just bottom-line savings. Solar panels offer a clean, efficient way to generate power without harming the environment. While most of America’s power supply comes from harmful and finite fossil fuels, solar panels generate electricity without any air or carbon pollution, ash, or other waste products – only clean and consistent energy from the sun.
Not only are fossil fuels hard on the environment, but they are also a limited resource. As such, their costs can fluctuate and increase exponentially. Solar puts the power back in your hands and benefits the planet at the same time. It generates no carbon dioxide or other heat-trapping gases that contribute to climate change and produces none of the other harmful emissions or wastes associated with coal power. Solar avoids the long-lasting waste and environmental risks associated with natural gas or nuclear power, and prevents water pollution during extraction, unlike other fuels. In fact, rooftop solar energy generation involves little to no water. A typical residential solar panel system will eliminate three to four tons of carbon emissions each year—the equivalent of planting over 100 trees annually.
